Here is the plot summary of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days: As the lazy days of summer arrive, Greg Heffley is stoked to spend his vacation playing video games and hanging out with his friends. However, his plans are quickly foiled when his dad, Frank, decides that some quality bonding time between father and son is in order. Specifically, Frank has rented a rickety old camper and is insisting that they go on a camping trip together. Greg's initial resistance to the idea is met with a stern "toughen up" from his dad, and he reluctantly agrees to participate. The trip quickly turns into a disaster when Greg discovers that the camper is infested with bugs, has no electricity, and is generally miserable.
