电影《不哭妈妈》讲述了一段令人心碎的故事。离婚后，柳琳独自抚养着自己的高中生女儿，母女俩相依为命，生活虽然艰辛，但至少他们还有彼此。 但不幸的事情发生了，柳琳的女儿在学校被一个男同学强奸了。更令人难以接受的是，加害者因为还未成年，竟然免于受到法律的处罚。对这一结果无法承受的女儿，最终选择了自杀，结束了自己的生命。 失去女儿的柳琳，受到这突如其来的打击，几乎失去了活下去的勇气。但她无法接受女儿的死亡竟然与加害者无关，她决心对加害者展开报复。柳琳开始暗中调查加害者和他的家人，在了解到他们的生活细节后，逐步开始针对他们展开报复。 柳琳的报复起初虽然令加害者和他的家人感到恐惧，但他们并没有真正地理解柳琳的痛苦和愤怒。他们对柳琳的报复仅仅视为一个疯狂的母亲的行为，而没有真正地去面对自己的错误和后果。 然而，随着报复的逐渐升级，加害者和他的家人开始意识到，他们不能只是躲起来就避免这场报复。他们开始变得神经紧张，害怕柳琳的凶险一步步靠近。 此时，柳琳内心的痛苦和愤怒已经超出了报复的界限。她决定不仅仅是让加害者和他的家人受到惩罚，还要让他们真正地了解自己的错误和后果。柳琳的报复变成了对加害者和他家人的残酷教育。
